Maestros de la Guitarra has already released part of his schedule for 2017 with some of the greatest guitarists both inside and outside of Spain.

Maestros de la Guitarra has released his schedule for the year of 2017 in the Palau de la Música Catalana and, besides of the formations that can be seen often in this venue – such as the formations Barcelona Guitar Trio and Barcelona 4 Guitars -, the festival revealed some very nice surprises for those who love the Spanish and flamenco guitars.

Luis Robisco Group – July 8, at 9 pm

The flamenco guitarist born in the surroundings of Barcelona returns to the Palau to interpret songs from his latest album, “Camino” (among them “Aires de Jerez”), and from albums such as “Unexpected Revolution” and “Tiempos”. He will be on the stage with his band, composed by the excellent musicians Gloria Wasmer (violin), Paquito Escudero (percussion), Toni Pagès (drums), José Robisco (bass) and David Sánchez (guitar).

Jesús Guerrero – September 16, at 9 pm

Currently on tour with the singer Miguel Poveda, Jesús Guerrero is considered as one of the greatest flamenco guitarists of his generation. In 2016, the Spanish musician presented in Barcelona, with the presence on stage of Poveda, the praised album “Calma”, a work with influences of rhythms like the jazz and the Brazilian music. This year, Jesús Guerrero returns to the Palau de la Música Catalana, for another unforgettable night.

Aniello Desiderio – September 27, 9 pm

Maestros de la Guitarra don’t forget about its roots and brings back to Barcelona the Italian classical guitarist Aniello Desiderio. Known for his charisma and incomparable technique, “il fenomeno” is constantly invited to perform and offer masterclasses and some of the main festivals in the world, being undoubtedly one of the most important guitarists of today.

Alí Arango – September 30, at 9 pm

The young Cuban guitarist is the highlight of every festival he joins – a truly prize hunter. Wherever he goes, he awes the audience and in the Palau de la Música Catalana, where he returns as a soloist almost a decade after he was awarded the first place at the contest “Mi Primer Palau” (My First Palau), won’t be different.

Antonio ReyOctober 28, at 9 pm

Awarded with the National Prize of Guitar – also won by Paco de Lucía and Vicente Amigo -, Antonio Rey is one of the talents of his generation that, according to the press, is most admired internationally. The Palau de la Música Catalana was chosen by him to present to the public his latest album, “Dos partes de mi”. An unmissable concert.
